The challenge
The association needed a website where classes, events, photos and registrations could stay up to date without relying on technical assistance.
The board needed to be able to update training times, create new classes and upload photos themselves as part of day-to-day operation.
Scope and requirements
The project needed to deliver both the public website and the functions the board required to keep it updated.
The delivered scope includes:
- Public website with classes, events and a gallery
- Registration for classes and activities
- Administration panel for ongoing content changes
- Management of classes, schedules, events and photos
- Registration overview
- Responsive desktop and mobile experience
- Email flows through Brevo
The solution
The public website and administration were brought together in one solution. Visitors get current information about classes and events, while the board can handle day-to-day administration without having routine changes carried out by a developer.
The registration overview lets members find and join the relevant class.
Events show their date, venue and registration directly on the website.
The board can update the gallery themselves.
Key design and operational decisions
Administration was kept in the same solution as the public website. This supports the concrete requirement that the board must be able to maintain classes, schedules, events, photos and registrations as part of normal operation.
Ongoing content tasks therefore sit in the administration area instead of requiring changes to the website itself.
Classes, schedules and descriptions are maintained directly in the administration area.
Events are created and maintained in the same place.
